PA [pandroid/Dave Deans]

Err, hello.

NEWSO! (3/6/99)

For anyone who cares, this webby will soon be gone. I'll be sticking it up somewhere on a free website island of love, with lots of kinky wimmen at my disposal. Alternativly I'll stick it up on Freeserve. Depends.

Welcome to the PA [pandroid/Dave Deans] site. It's a big ego based self-indulgent peice of short writing. Basically.

What do you expect?

Dirty Imposter

If you're wondering, PAndroid is a shorthand version of a certain Radiohead song. So if you're sufficently clued up you'll know what it is. It's rather good.

The P is for Paranoid.

In Real Life..

In real life, making all this seem like some sort of sad geeky thing I do when everyones asleep, I'm known as David Deans. My mates call me Dave, 'cus if they call me anything else I usally get the Fuzz around to sort them out. Planting drugs and things.

Actually, we thought about planting canabis on the school grounds a while back, but we realised it had probably be done. Anyway, this is making me sound skitso....

If you really need to know I'm 15, and live in Kingswood, a predomently white suburb of Bristol, a vast urban spraw located in South West England.

Oh yes, and I hate it. Everyone here is depressed for some reason or another. Bristol is just another identikit city which could easily be twinned with Stoke-On-Trent. It has a little bit of History, a little bit of art, some nice looking buildings and tonnes, and tonnes, of bowling alleys, cinemas, Quasar arcades and roundabouts. The thing is so bland and identityless that the heart of suicidal Britain is on our fabeled suspension bridge.

Thankfully, we have Third Eye Foundation, Portishead, Massive Attack and Roni Size to remind us of how horrible it all his, and then bugger off when they get successful. Joy!

Personal Intrest

Newsgroups (you know, that usenet thing):

Yes. Them. I used to be addicted to alt.digitiser but "left" around may as I found that I no longer knew anything about video games. I probably do, but it's not relevant no more. I won't tell of where I usually hang, if you really care go to the great oracle of deja and search for my name.

E-Zines:

I've done two in the past. Here's some info on them

BRITISH SATIRICAL BROADCASTING

Genre: Strictly Surreal Satirical Ezine
Lifespan: Sept 98 - November 98
Supported by: Some Alt.digitiser folk and passers by.
Frequency: Weekly
Contributors: Manily me. Ed did something once.

PAGE 670 (formerly page170)

Genre: Surreal Satirical Video Gaming Digitiser-tribute Ezine Lifespan: Much longer than BSB, Feb 98-Sept 98. Supported by: Most alt.digitiser fold, passers by, Digitiser itself, Stu Campbell, Mr Biffo
Contributors: Me, Arran Ace Yarwood, Ed and various others.
Why Called off: While alt.digitiser's postings were dwindling around September time, I become stupidly worried that digi was to stop supporting the net side of things, and that hits would fall. I decided relaunch a small part of it (Daily Lowline) into BSB. Whoops.

As far I see it page670 will not come back anytime soon. It's dead and now very difficult to write for. I'm sort of out of that state of mind, as it were. Or as it is. Or some bloody figure of speech.

I attempted to get on and write a new e-zine similar to BSB but "more disturbing." Bollocks it was. Anyone who belived I was onto a good thing there needs Vallum.

It's 'ere. I stopped it before I caused myself anymore embarrasment.

"Places"

Other stuff I read/listen to/am influenced by:

BBC World Service - If you need to, or want to, learn about the world this is possibly the best way you can with a shortwave reciever or satilite dish. The World Service is near a perfect radio station. If it dumped all the patronising yoof crap it could be greater.

Radio Netherlands - Also a great government funded radio station. It's on 1512khz every night from 21:30 BST so most UK readers could listen to this great example of broadcasting. Inless it's blocked by interference from annoying BBC local radio stations, specialising in bland local news which they make no attempt to make intresting to the youth of the area in anyway possible. GWR should be killed for the same reason.

NTK - Need To Know is a very big part of my literary life. All the journalists who contribute should go on and do bigger things, it's simply superb. Go to the webby and and sub, now.

RedMeat - Sick Cult American comic strip. A star.

And finally

Have a listen to my radio station. Go on. (needs RA)

I've @dopted Mr Roger Berry, MP for Kingswood!
How ironic. It uses the at symbol as an a. @mazing.
