Vmacing, across the universe

This week (sounding suspiciously like Beret here) I've been playing around with that old emulator Vmac, after having a months stint with Linux (which, by the way, ended in tragedy. I decided to delete that partition. Oh the shame! Ish)

For an emulator, it looks promising. It already has the signs of a good project. It's spawrn across several systems, seems more organised than U.A.E, there's quite a bit of documentation on it and, well, it works pretty fine. Except it dosn't "do" color, or any other Mac system other than a plus. So the choice of programs youc an use with it is a bit succupered thanks to the lack of being able to use System 7.1 and up. But it's nice and small. Worth looking at if you're at all intrested in Rod Hull's old bird.

It's also rather funny to see the Mac gui from an ex-Amiga users point of view. I remember from reading the Amiga mags (Format and AUI) several years back, people harking how good the Workbench GUI is. Cough. The Mac's Gui makes the Amiga stink of hot shat, and it, surprisingly, actully a lot easier to jump into. Of course, AmigaDos is a hell of a lot more powerful than the Mac's OS, but the Macintosh as the "My Mothers Un-born child can use it" factor. And looks who's doing well now! Microsoft.....

Odd News Week

I felt a bit shocked to read about the developer of a games I've never heard of, who admitted to killing his daughter. Is this a new age in Digi news? Will it become more personal? Why not? I wanna know about there lives. OK, let's turn all games developers into major international celebritys, and take pictures of them and sell them to Hello!.

Or maybe not. But, hey, it was intresting.....

And that's erm, it.

Nothing else to say this week. You've been saved from a "I'm depressed" moan. So bye! [That's it folks, yep]
