The End Of Beret

Rather to no-ones surprise, I have decided to end the Beret's life. Why? Insolent inquistive child. Well I think Beret as a character was running out of steam anyway, and that having The Man wearing the Beret would confuse the hell out of newbies. So I've killed him off. Next week there will be no beret, instead we will hold a seperate service for the Beret. Hell, I might even set up a guestbook for your "Grevances."

As for regular "funny" columns, in the past in "bracket talk" I have attempted to parodise to be the almighty god. Not next week but in the week after, God will take the weekly column podium that the Beret once had. Damn holligans, should all be killed. Ahem. I also fancy doing something (not sexually) with the horse. Maybe I could have it put down, and replace it with DLT. Maybe. Or Steve Lammac. Maybe. If Radio1 let me.

So why did Biffo decide to bring back the Man's Beret? God ("Yes?" - God) only knows ("It's because I'm getting my own coloumn, ass bandit" - God). I've asked him though email so I can change the WTF properly. Let's see what happens.

No Closure..... Yet.....

In #digi-98 and to various friends on ICQ I told of the possible closure of page170. It could happen, yet, it probably won't. I have lost a little intrest in Digi, but after thinking about it today, there's no real harm in doing this as just a hobby. To be honest with you people, my social life isn't great at the moment anyway, because of various, rather sad sounding, personal problems. But I won't depress you with them.

This said, I am going on holiday this year. But I don't know when. And it'll be for 10 days. So at sometime next month there will be no page170. I just don't know fucking when.....

Spice World

I imagine OfficalPSM will make this out to be "great for the kiddies" but after reading several reviews of this dire throw-it-up I've been left wondering why they have bothered to release it at all. The Fans will probably love it up, but most 4 year olds own an N64.

alt.digitiser readers would of also heard my views on the, rather unsurprisingly, dire tv ad for the "Game". To repeat: The Voiceover is awful, the scipt for the voiceover is cringeworthy, the graphics are crap, it looks dire ("Again?" - Ed), Sony have used that awful phrase "Girl Power." This is more of a NINTENDO advert than a PS one. Whilst watching it, you feel like it was made in less than a minute. No attempt has been made to sell this game to the public, even ads for Rascal have been much better than this.

Have Sony lost it? Do babies now own PlayStation's? Bring back symbols. NOW.

Biffo Spotting

Mr Biffo has been spotted in alt.digitiser but I havn't a clue if that's the real it or not. Some confirmation Paul, please?
