How to find us at Gateshead Stadium | |
Travel north along the A1(M) past the Washington Service Area. The road divides into the A1 to the left and the A194(M) to the right towards South Shields. Take the A194(M) so keep right after the service area.
Once on the A194(M) towards South Shields, continue until you reach a roundabout at the end of the motorway section. Take first exit left onto A184 towards Gateshead and Newcastle.
Follow A184 westbound. You will pass a roundabout complex with traffic lights on it at Heworth. Go forward on A184 Felling, Gateshead, Newcastle. After a few hundred yards, Gateshead Stadium is on the right.
From the north
Travel south on the A1. North of Newcastle, take B1318 signed Gosforth, Newcastle to left. Follow B1318 through Gosforth, past open space (called Town Moor) follow signs Gateshead, South. Continue onto A167(M) through and under centre of Newcastle emerging onto Tyne Bridge (reminds one of Sydney Harbour Bridge). Forward over Tyne Bridge, into Gateshead. Several sets of traffic lights, follow A167 until signs for A184 Sunderland.
Stay on the ground, do NOT go up the ramp.
Under ramp, left onto A184, after two sets of traffic lights, Gateshead Stadium is on the left.
