| Richard Cowell | The silent assassin. | Mark Sloan |
| David Nimmins | An excellent route running 'Speedy' Wideout with great hands & a great field Captain QB who brought out the best in the Offensive. Davey also played a big roll on Special Teams (Long snapping & returning kicks). Anyone who doubts Davey's contribution just needs to read through the Senators archives to get a small insight into his accomplishments. | Mark Hume |
| Statistically the Senators' winningest quarterback. Held the team during the Div 2 season and the team record that season was in no small way down to him. His ambition to get to the 'Big One' was undiminished to the end, but sadly never realised. David has been a force in North East American football for many years, that same determination was there when he was a fifteen year old quarterback! | ||
| ...........quality | Stevie Wooton | |
| The ex Tiger always gave his all and was one of the hardcore who could be relied upon every game. Great QB even better WR. | David Wilson | |
| a player who never gave up- great arm and very deceptive with the ball- In a league of his own with dedication- True Senator | Eric Walker | |
| He took a lickin but kept on tickin! One of the funniest blokes and a top player | Ed Morgan | |
| I started playing football with Dave at the young age of 12. Through the north east junior ranks of the Tyneside Trojans onto the Tyneside Tigers and eventually the Sens. Throughout my playing career with Dave, he was one of the toughest competitors with a never say die attitude, no matter the score. A quality QB and a 'Go To' receiver. I wish I could have lasted as long as what he has. All the best Dave. It was a pleasure being team mates with you. | Dave Williams | |
| Graham Norris | An undersized but fantastic pulling Guard who could pancake players twice his size. He unfortunately had to retire from the game for health reasons & is still greatly missed. | Mark Hume |
| another lineman that helped our backs through the trenches- small frame Huge heart and drive- Excellent player and person | Eric Walker | |
| Sean Riley | A stalwart on both sides of the ball. The consumate Senator that gave his all | Mark Sloan |
| Most dominant D End I ever played alongside, although spent most of his time on the O Line. Didnt miss a game even when working away from the area. Excellent football brain, a true Senator. | David Wilson | |
| I believe one of the best OL/DL ever played at the Senators not just for his contribution on the field, but for his knowledge and assistance of other teams' formations and game play that the Senators would come up against. It was always entertaining to watch him play. | Frank McParlin | |
| a true Player- a pivital person both sides of the ball- Helped backs gain alot of ground- Technique was Excellent and had Senator blood in his veins Honest! | Eric Walker | |
| one of the hardest guys I've ever met. Looked after me a huge amount as a rookie and onwards. Very reliable guy who would do anything to help out his team or mates. And he made me look good by getting more flags than me! | Ed Morgan | |
| I've known him from cheeky youth player to cheekier adult...one of the best lineman to play for the Senators, if he's not good enough for the HoF neither am I.... | Stevie Wooton | |
| Terry Scott | Scotty joined Gateshead from the Washington Presidents. A big powerful Lineman who added some great size & strength to both side of the ball. A nice guy off the field & a real handful on it. | Mark Hume |
| Powerful- Hard hitting- Mean- Excellent Lineman on the field- -Off the Field- Humourous- Fun- Good Friend- Played with at the Presidents and Senators- Great Guy- should have played more | Eric Walker | |
| Wimmie van Tergouw | Dutchman Wimmie was an ever present in Gateshead's Defensive backfield for many years, his international connections helped Gateshead take its special brand of Geordie Football to Europe. Gateshead's European trips played a big part in the formation of the 'Family' spirit the club is famous for, the influence of which played a huge part in Gateshead's 1999 Championship season. Wimmie still plays a big part within the Senators organization as the Defensive Assistant / Special Teams Coach as well as Coaching the future of the team in the Senators Youth squad. | Mark Hume |
| Hard working DB again could be relied upon for every game now passing on his knowledge to the next generation of Senators in the Youth team as well as giving his time up as a valuable member of the backroom staff. All the trips to Holland would not have been possible without Wimmie's help. | David Wilson | |
| Eric Walker | Originally from the Washington Presidents, Eric was a very powerful & dominating Lineman on both sides of the ball. A greatly respected player & person, who would make an excellent Coach. | Mark Hume |
| Great guy, great player, a monster of a man who was equally at home on the O or D line, would love to see him coaching one day. | David Wilson | |

| Gary Marshall | Gateshead Senators is one of the longest established and most successful clubs in Britain. One man has been the inspiration and the driving force behind this for a quarter of a century, as a player, coach, chairman, organiser, and that is Gary Marshall. It's in his blood, and it's hard to see when he will ever not kit up to lead from the front, so he will never be eligible by rule for the Hall of Fame! Gary cares passionately about the club and its members. Without Gary Marshall, none of this would be there. He is "Mr Senator". | |
| theres noel in football kept a ardcore of future senators alive with his input in our youth setup, harra, mark lyndsey, fridge wil, myself mikey humey j savage j hartley all owe this man a huge vote of thanks | Sean Riley | |
| Orlando Weekes | Brought his unique brand of coaching to the Senators. If you need to ask what he did for the team you weren't there. A great coach and a great friend. | Mark Sloan |
