A week before the big day the inflatable
tent was tested.

an abundance of Burmese and Thai food was available.

sitting behind him, Tom begging for the 'Going Forth'.

'going forth' as a samanera.
The Upajjhaya, Ven. Ajahn Khemadhammo, grants
Tom's request by placing one of the robes around him.
Tom returns to receive the Three Refuges
& Ten Precepts of a samanera
and is renamed Samanera Manapo.
During the the ordination that followed of
the two samaneras, Dhammatejo and Dhammavaro, as bhikkhus, the Upajjhaya,
Ven. Ajahn Khemadhammo, did not permit photographs to be taken.
