Welcome to The Forest Hermitage

The
Forest Hermitage (วัดป่าสันติธรรม)
is a
branch of Wat Nong
Pah Pong (วัดหนองป่าพง), the late Luang Por Chah's principal monastery in N. E. Thailand.
It is a small peaceful Buddhist forest monastery and comprises
Santidhamma, the original property where the monks live and where
events open to the public are held, and Bhavanadhamma, which is for
nuns, female devotees and guests and where the weekend retreats are
held. The
Buddha-Dhamma Fellowship is the trust responsible for both.
The community
is led by Ven. Chao Khun Bhavanavitesa (Luang Por
Khemadhammo) OBE, whose blog, News & Musings, with our most recent
news can be found here.
Asalha Puja, when we remember the Buddha's First Sermon, will be celebrated at The Forest Hermitage on Sunday, July 20th.
The actual Asalha Puja Day this year is July 17th and the Entry to the Vassa is the following day, July 18th.
The monthly weekend retreats continue. The complete programme can be found here.
Meditation and Guidance at The Forest Hermitage, every Monday and Friday at 8 o'clock. All are welcome.

Help:
At the moment we are in urgent need of a driver, who has to be a man with a valid driving licence. This could be a live-in position and include help with general management or it could simply be to come along and drive Luangpor on his prison visits. We have quite a good car but no one to drive it. If there’s a man out there who could help, please get in touch.
