Links	Lycos, Alta-Vista are the two best Web search tools in my experience. I would usually enter 2 or more words, otherwise you don't narrow the search enough and you get a lot of irrelevant stuff.	Information.Com: Lycos Alta-Vista
They both return the best matches first, although I sometimes wonder if companies pay them to get their pages at the top? By repeating words in pages and then hiding their display some companies try to get to the top. You will get this more if you only use a single word search. I find Lycos better and it tells you how many of your search words were matched for each result. I have started using news searches rather than this page, since I found I got a lot more information on detailed enquiries and a lot quicker.
