Phil Marshall's guide
for mates
I have written this guide after some experiences,
good and bad, by a number of mates. Cooking things is not difficult
unless you intend to try and re-create one of Keith Floyd's numbers
or if you have a passion for soufflés. Neither of these are to be
recommended. The guide is divided into
sections for breakfast, lunch
and dinner and there are also some general
cooking hints and some help at finding
shops.
A large selection of tried and trusted recipes
can be found here
I hope this will inspire some to go onto greater
things and provide food which the crew will remember for the right
reasons. Most of the recipes can be attempted at home, if you wish
to cause a domestic sensation.
Most of all, enjoy your job as mate and remember
that with a bit of work, you'll be a skipper soon and won't have
to worry about the catering (Ho ho!)
Phil Marshall
This guide is dedicated to the memory of
Cecil and Peter.
