The following courses are offered at Court Grange College. The programme includes, as part of the learning for life, emphasis upon training for independence.
1. City and Guilds
Word Power and Number Power are offered at Foundation and Level 1.
2. Computers/Information Technology (IT)
We currently offer all students the opportunity to complete a computer familiarisation course and a Royal Society of Arts (RSA) Computer Literacy and Information Technology Course.
3. Life and Social Skills
This area includes a four stage programme of learning and skill acquisition which enables students to access Independent Living on completion of the training. Areas covered include: Safety in the home; nutrition; cookery; laundry skills; relationships; personal development.
Stage 1: Own room with full staff support
Stage 2: Independent bedsit with maximum support
Stage 3: Independent bedsit with minimum support.
Stage 4: Fully independent in shared accommodation or off campus.
4. Driver Training
All students whose health and eyesight permit are given a programme of driving instruction.
