Supplements on the cheap


This section is for bodybuilders who can't necessary afford or won't on principle pay the stupidly high prices that the supplement companies get away with charging. Supplements are just that,in fact with the correct diet you don't need them, but they are there to make bodybuilding easier

PROTEIN

Buy the cheapest god-damn protein you can get your hands on, it's better to have a steady protein shake intake than to have to stop/start approach while your saving up to buy the next batch of MET-REX.

Alternately, mix a table spoon of 'Marvel' or any dried milk powder to half pint of semi-skimmed milk (2% milk).

100% EGG-WHITE POWDER

Tropicana sell their 100% Egg-white powder for £6.99 (10$) 300g. This product provides 82g per 100g of protein. Alternatively it can be purchased from a catering wholesaler at a fraction of the cost.

Hotels and restaurants use it to make meringues. Open up the Yellow pages and ring around.

VITAMINS/MINERALS

Buy the supermarkets own brands,vitamins are vitamins, they only cost about £1.20, about a tenth of the cost of ZOLGAR or QUEST. The more expensive vitamins generally are more concentrated than the cheap ones, so you'll probably have to take more. Even so they still work out much cheaper.

ALFALFA/KELP/DESICCATED LIVER

These simple ingredients, often over-looked by bodybuilders, work extremely well.

500 tablets cost around £10 ($15) and will last over a month, take 15 a day evenly spread, preferably with meals.This will keep your Amino acid pool fully topped up, and also supply essential vitamins and minerals.Your body will then be in a constant anabolic state.

And it's a hell of a lot cheaper than-HMB.
