fipresci london critics baftas oscars shadows awards 11th Online Film Critics Awards

online film critics Nominations 2 Jan 08 • Awards 8 Jan 08

Notes by Rich: Once again, the online critics come up with a slightly over-serious list of nominees, completely ignoring Sweeney Todd, for example, but falling for the extremely uneven La Vie en Rose in the foreign film category (Cotillard is more than deserving of her actress nod). On the other hand, there are extremely deserving nominations for Zodiac, A Mighty Heart and East Promises, all of which look likely to be ignored by Oscar, plus a bit of love for the gorgeous Once.
Rich Cline has been a member of the OFCS since September 2003.
