Directions to Southfields Community Centre

From the A6/A421 intersection take the A6 northwards. Go straight on at the roundabout with the B530 and A5134, crossing over the Bletchley-Bedford branch railway line, then turn left at the next roundabout into Elstow Road. [from the town centre, take the A6 southwards for the full length of Ampthill Road, then turn right at the roundabout into Elstow Road].

Elstow Road dips down under the London-Bedford main railway line; very shortly afterwards, turn left into Southfields Road. Almost opposite the Fire Brigade HQ, you will see the entrance to a car parking area on your right, next to a sports ground. The community centre is at the far side of this car park.

Directions to Putnoe Heights Church Centre

From Bedford town centre, take the B660 Kimbolton Road northwards. Go straight on at the first set of traffic lights (at The Park pub). At the next set of traffic lights, a complex staggered junction, turn right into Putnoe Lane. Follow this up the hill and turn right into Putnoe Heights (it's about the 6th road on the right) - the church is signposted. The centre is on the left just after Hartop Close. There are a few parking spaces at the front, and a few more at the back; there is also a free public car park in accessed from Hartop Close. There are no restrictions on on-road parking, but it's a bit narrow so choose your spot carefully if you go for this option.

Walsworth Road Baptist Church SG4 9SP

Directions to Walsworth Road Baptist Church

NOTE: if asking for directions, bear in mind that Hitchin has three baptist churches!

From Stevenage: From the first (large) roundabout, follow signs towards town centre, and bear right at a mini roundabout to keep on the B656 (Queen Street) past Netto supermarket. Straight on at a set of traffic lights; you are now in Walsworth Road . Just after the signs for a public car park and Queen Mother Theatre, turn right at a mini-roundabout up Highbury Road. After a few yards turn right through a narrow gateway - a hole in a beech hedge - into the church grounds. The hall is the building nearer the roundabout, and the door is facing Walsworth Road. Please don't use the gateway directly on the roundabout, it's very dangerous. If there isn't sufficient parking space, the public car park you just passed usually has space (and it's cheaper than parking in Bedford). At the time of writing, the last patches of on-street parking nearby are about to be made "residents-only".

From Luton: Turn right at the second roundabout after entering Hitchin, and then at the next roundabout turn left and follow the route as from Stevenage.

From Bedford: Follow signs for Stevenage & Luton. You will enter a one-way system: after passing Waitrose supermarket follow the road round to the right, still heading for Luton, but at the next roundabout turn left. Left again at the next roundabout, and follow the route as from Stevenage.

From Letchworth: Follow the A505 and immediately after going under the railway fork left into Walsworth Road. Turn left at the first mini-roundabout into Highbury Road. After a few yards turn right through a narrow gateway - a hole in a beech hedge - into the church grounds.
