My funny old Archtop Guitar

This is one of my guitars, which I bought in 1997 from a local shop. It was only cheap and a bit broken but I loved the twangy sound it made and the fretboard is so worn it must have been played for thousands of hours by a previous owner. It has marks where some kind of electric pickup had been fitted in the past so I like to imagine it being played in some Jazz band every Sunday lunchtime.

I don't have any proper recording equipment but here's
a short MP3 snippet from my version of "Down Drinking at the Bar"(0.4Mb) by Loudon Wainwright III, played on the Archtop.

There isn't any maker's name anywhere on the guitar so I don't what kind it is, possibly Framus ? If you have any clues please drop me a line mailto:andyrobts@zetnet.co.uk
