Postponed from the end of June, this year the weather was
perfect. Sun and not too much wind, though what wind there was was
from the north and had quite a nip to it. --A bit chilly for the
spectators, but the crews wouldn't have had time to feel the cold!
Not knowing they were destined to take the booby prize, "Girl
Power's" crew seem to think the crew of HGV weren't wet enough. (You
can just see one of that raft's bicycle seats.)
---And here's HGV (Heavy Guys' Vessel) in full view, reversing
out of its hiding place. If there'd been a prize for ingenuity,
they'd surely have won it!
And they're off! Frantically paddling and pedalling, the four
senior crews surge forward...
