Musician, wit and now OBE, his regular media appearances keep him in the public eye and his work with Tim Rice in the public ear as well. I was so impressed with the Orpheus Centre, Richard's former home that is now a centre for music and therapy for people with mobility and other disabilities. For 1998 he is the High Sheriff of Surrey and I was delighted when he agreed to wear the gear.
