So Jeemie do's decided tae laeve wis
Man do's far ower young tae retire
tae pit on dye smucks an' licht dye pipe
An' set dee doon by da side o' da fire

I doot do'll hae tae rise ida moarneen
An' mak dye wye doon tae da street
Cas Linda will no' git her wark don
Do'll be continually anunder her feet

Do can tak a waak doon by da sea front
An' see foo monny fish do can cadge
Bit dey'll no lat dee inta da market
Unless Ann has med dee a badge

We ken dat dye ideal passtime
is tae tak da clubs an' set aff fur Dale
Bit hit's no' muckle fun on da golf coorse
Whan hit's rainin' an' blaain' a gale

Does do no' tink do'll miss da Stewart Building
I doot if do tells wis da trooth
Do'll tink lang for da view do hed every day
Fae da gut factory right oot da sooth mooth

We'll joost hae tae git used tae dye absence
We wiss dee aa da best joost da sam
An if do's doon arroond ony moarneen
Come in fur dee pancake an' jam
