If you are interested in a fragment of my personal history, expressed in an impressionistic way, follow this link.

Philosophy

19th Century Philosophy - especially that dear old eccentric, F. H. Bradley; 20th Century Philosophy of all sorts but especially Foucault and Heidegger. I am particularly interested in the late Heidegger and religion (is he close to Buddhism or Christianity? is he a neo-pagan?!)

Theology

19th Century again, but also Systematics more generally, including feminist, liberation, radical systematic and non-systematic theology. A favourite link is Anglicans Online. A good place to start for internet theology/Christianity resources.

Social Ranting

If you haven't yet, join Friends of the Earth, or your local bicycle action group, or act against homophobia in solidarity with lesbians and gays, especially in the churches - links:

or, well, just stop sitting at a computer since there's a world out there (and if you live in Bradford, why not join the Bicycle Action Group and encourage the reluctant Bradford Met. Council to get serious about provision for cyclists? E-mail me if you want joining information.

Windsurfing/Surfing

Well one day there'll be a lovely picture here of me riding a wave, translucent, peaky, shapely, oh I'm going to have to have a lie down. Anyhow, living in Bradford and liking surfing and windsurfing is not easy, so global warming (bring the sea to Bradford) is not entirely unwelcome. If you'd like to explore sharing lifts, e-mail me. Opposite is a rather grainy, but memory laden picture of a good day windsurfing at Bala Lake, North Wales. My wavy days are so much exultation that I don't usually think to come in to hand my camera to someone. I've a lot less surfing experience than windsurfing, but I've surfed at Byron Bay (Oz - where I learnt), Tywyn, Rhosneigr, Freshwater West, Newgale, Fairbourne.

Cycling

I've done various tours - France, Denmark, England and Wales. I have a dream... of cycling across the US (or maybe Australia) but I'm waiting to get a suitable gap between jobs.

Swimming

Doesn't the world look better viewed through water? How many appallingly shaped bank managers and decaying bishops look almost pleasantly creaturely when placed in deep enough water (let's not specify how deep). Is is a back to the womb regression? Whatever it is, its beautiful. Unfortunately the seas around the UK are a bit polluted for ease of mind when swimming - join Surfers Against Sewage now!

Should any of that echo with your own soul, well, send me an e-mail.
