KILLING THE DEFENCELESS IS NONE THE BETTER AT A DISTANCE
Mr Eric Barnard (March 16th) tells us that "Without the constant attacks carried out by the RAF and allied air forces, we would have been involved in a bloody conflict on the ground, resulting in thousands of troops killed and wounded."
I have the impression that there were thousands of troops killed and wounded. Iraqis are people too but, in defence of Mr Barnard, it has to be recognised that this obvious fact is sometimes less obvious from the air..
