Following the wise remark by Alex T Smith (February 28th) about "the trauma that a child born of rape will experience in later life", may I ask the religious traditionalists a question?

How can one teach children, who know that thy have been born of rape, to obey the relevant part of the commandment "honour thy father and thy mother"? Or should their mothers "bear false witness"?
