CD Reviews

Well, I've been dancing Salsa for 5 years now.  I've enjoyed every minute of it (well, almost).

I'm putting together some reviews of Salsa CD's.  The idea is to give people who are new to Salsa some idea of (what I think is) good stuff to buy.  There's an enormous amount of stuff out there and it's really quite difficult to find the best stuff - especially if you don't speak Spanish.

My teacher for the past four years has been Homero Gonzalez, he's Cuban and is the best Salsa dancer I've ever seen.

My enthusiasm for dancing Salsa has taken me all over the world - London, Madrid, Cuba, New York, Miami and Oslo!

What makes Salsa so special?

To many people, "Salsa" is a hot and spicy sauce made from a mixture of different colours and flavours of ingredients - and that's why Salsa is so named.

Salsa - the dance - takes its influences from all over the world, principally Cuba, Latin America, the USA, Africa and Europe.  It's alive and it is changing every day.  It's exactly because Salsa doesn't stand still, that attracts so many people to it.
