Tony Adams

Tony is one of our youngest ever captains when he was asked to do the job in March 1988. He is our most successful captain lifting more trophies than any previous skipper. He gained his first medal when we beat Liverpool in the 1987 Littlewoods Cup final. Since then he has lifted the Championship twice (1989 and 1991), the F.A. Cup and Coca-Cola Cup in 1993 and the Cup Winners Cup in 1994. He was Englands captain marvel in Euro 96 leading them to the Semi-Final. He was voted PFA 'Young Player of the Year' in 1987 and Supporters Club 'Player of the Year' in 1987, 1990 and 1994. He joined as a trainee and made his league debut as a 17 year old in November, 1983.
