Steve has been at the centre of our defence since he joined from Stoke for £390,000 in the summer of 1998. Steve won championship medals in 1989 and 1991 and returned from injury to play against Parma in 1994. Steve won Supporters Club 'Player of the Year' in 1991. He was born in Stoke on November 16, 1962 and joined City from school. In his early days, he spent a loan spell with Torquay.
