Cadet Weeks at Wimbleball Sailing Club 2008

Dates:
28th July to 1st August
4th to 8th August
11th to 15th August
18th to 22nd August

The cadet weeks are intended to be exciting and challenging for those involved, whilst developing their sailing skills. The emphasis will be on having fun.

It is anticipated that all participants will complete the week having achieved, at least, stage 1 of the RYA youth sailing scheme, but higher levels will be achievable.

Clothing
Children taking part are guaranteed to get wet, probably soaked, please ensure that they have a change of clothes and footwear, and a towel. Buoyancy aids will be supplied.

Food
The Club does not supply food, other than tea & coffee, please provide a packed lunch and drink.

Times
Activities run from 10.00 am to 4.00 pm children may be left with the staff between those times, but if your child is unlikely to settle, in your absence, please be prepared to stay.

Costs
The cost of each cadet week is £115. payable in advance, a deposit of £45 is required at the time of booking, the balance to be paid on arrival.
Booking will be organised on the basis of "first come first served". Booking forms and cheques of unsuccessful applicants will be returned.

TERMS OF AGREEMENT

I confirm that the participant
  1. Does not suffer from epilepsy, giddy spells, asthma, diabetes, angina (or any other heart condition) or any condition capable of affecting watersports or other physical activity that it is declared under "additional information" overleaf.
  2. Is able to swim 25m unaided.
  3. Will agree to abide by the rules of Wimbleball Sailing Club (WSC).
  4. Agrees to obey the instructions of WSC staff and will leave the water immediately on being asked to do so.
  5. Please Note:-
  6. No undertaking is given as to the suitability of the weather or the quality or fitness for use of the waters or their environs,
  7. All vehicles are parked at owners' risk and no liability will be accepted for loss or damage to vehicles or contents.
  8. No liability is accepted for loss or damage of personal belongings taken onto the water including (without limitation) wallets, spectacles, clothing etc.
  9. Participants in the Cadet Weeks will automatically become junior members of WSC for the remainder of the current year.
  10. Digital photographs may be taken of the activities to be used for publicity. eg. for press reports or WSC website/display boards. Parents of participants may share the photographs.
