The Swallowfield Show in 1998 will be on 30th and 31st August. The Assciation will be running a Superbowl OpenShow sponsored by Aquarian again on Sunday, and an Open Day on the Monday.
At a recent management committee meeting it was decided to increase the subscriptions as follows, individual from £6.50 to £7.00 Joint from £7.50 to £8.00 and societies to stay at £10.00. Non UK extra £2.00
The Quarterly Meeting held on 22nd of February at the Clifton Hotel Portland was a great success. Several new contacts were made with the South Dorset Society. Breeders of Livebearers and Corydoras and other fishes were in abundance. The second part of the meeting was the excellent talk by Chris Ralph Chairman of the Association on his favourite catfish, South Americans.

The North South convention, this year hosted by the Northern Federation of Aquatic Societies is to be held at Hereford Community Centre, Brinninton Stockport. Lecturers are Alan Ratcliffe Coldwater, Joan Davidson Breeding, and Geoff Connor Importing Fish. There will also be a 100 lot auction, as well as a wet and dry fish stand.
