Area 51's Groovy Links Page

Here are a page of links to cool sites around the web, now updated to include a site of the month! Now includes personal and other non-commercial sites under the personal sites section and corporate sites under the corporate section.

Site of the Month
The Official Abandon Ware Site A site which will appeal to those hard up (e.g. me and the rest of the teenage population) and those too skinflint to go out and buy games. It contains free full games and applications. Check it out!

CORPORATE SITES

Westwood Studios' Site The Westwood Studios website, the people responsible for such brilliant games as Dune 2: The Battle for Arrakis, Command & Conquer, Command & Conquer: Red Alert and Blade Runner.

Happy Puppy Games Site A brilliant site for downloading demos and Shareware versions of games.

Shareware.Com Not to everyone's taste, I know, but if you're into Shareware you should visit this site pronto.

Downloads.Com Much the same as above, but great if you enjoy a good browse.

The Official X-Files Homepage The Official X-Files Homepage, need I say more?

The Virgin Interactive Entertainment Website The official VIE site for the UK. Love the graphics!

Netscape Corporation Homepage The maker of THE best browser in the universe. Get it NOW, don't settle for low grade Microsoft pash.

Mediabuilder Homepage A cool site with thousands of free fonts and other cool stuff.

Jars A cool site, but hard to describe, has links to applets, such as games.

Bullfrog's Homepage THE best games company on earth. Syndicate, Dungeon Keeper, Theme Park, Theme Hospital, Gene Wars, Hi-Octane and Syndicate Wars should be compulsory buys for every self-respecting PC owner. I mean it!

Sun's Webpage This, in my opinion is THE fastest website on the web, it comes down so fast you wouldn't believe it.

CNN's Website CNN's official site. A great place to keep up with world events.

PERSONAL SITES

Dave's Classics A cool site, which, at least in my opinion, seems to be MAME's main page. Has hundred's of games for nearly every system, and emulators to run them with. Worth the visit.

Rare Games Cool Abandonware page. You should got there now!

Richard's Stonekeep FAQ An extremely good Stonekeep related site. Hasn't been updated for about a year and a half though....

Jade's FFE Site A pretty good site about FFE, one of my favourite games, run by Jades (aka Graham Thurlwell).
