Welcome to Area 51! I finally got rid of the "new and improved" Area 51, as it didn't "feel" like Area 51, with all the whiteness and easy to readness. This page contains links to all the sites I've created, and also to the cream of the virtual crop, sites which I think are worth there size in gold. Some "new" words are being unleashed on the world through this site these are:

pash - means rubbish
flange - (used in description of a person) means a fool
weiner - I know it means hot dog, but it can also mean a fool (e.g. What a weiner) and made a mess of it (e.g. You've weinered that one!)
fange - (used in description of just about anything) e.g. What the fange?!?!?

COOL QUOTES

These are excerpts, quotes, song lyrics and just about any other cool things I can think of.

"When the weight of the world has got you down, and you wanna end your life,
Bills to pay, a dead end job and problems with the wife,
But don't throw in the towel because there's a place right down the block,
Where you can drink your misery away,
At Flaming Moe's, where liqour in a mug can warm you like a hug,
Happiness is just a Flaming Moe away."

- The TV advert in the Simpsons episode "Flaming Moe's".

Bart - "Can I speak to Hue, last name Jass?"
Moe - "Hey guys, is there a Hue Jass here? Somebody check men's for a Hue Jass!"

- From The Simpsons

Bart - "I'm looking for Amanda, last name Hugginkiss."
Moe - "Hey guys, is there a Amanda Hugginkiss in the bar? I want Amanda Huginkiss!"

- From The Simpsons

GOOD TV PROGRAMMES

Sliders
Channel: BBC 2
Time/Day: 18:45 Wednesday
A superb programme! It revolves around the Sliders, Quinn Malory, Wade Wells, Maximillian Arturo and Rembrant Brown, who jump between dimensions. This is due to Quinn, a graduate in Physics, who discovers the secret of "sliding" between dimensions.

Click here for the episode guide.

The X-Files
Channel: BBC 1
Time/Day: CURRENTLY OFF THE AIR
I can't believe I forgot this when I created the site! One of the best TV programmes EVER!. It revolves around FBI Special Agents Fox Mulder and Dana Scully, who have been assigned to the "X-Files" division of the FBI. This division deals with un-solved cases which seem odd. Mulder is a believer in extraterrestrial intelligence, whereas Scully is a sceptic. Brilliant viewing! Back on air on Saturdays at 21:25.

BTW, you should check out your local Blockbuster for ex-rental X-Files videos. I have 4 and paid about £4.99 for each of them.

Star Trek: Deep Space Nine
Channel: BBC 2
Time/Day: CURRENTLY OFF THE AIR
Based on Star Trek by Gene Roddenberry. This incarnation is set aboard the Bajoran space station Deep Space Nine, formerly Terok Nor under the Cardassian occupation. This, combined with the fact that the might of Star Fleet not being in the neighbourhood, leads to interesting situations and dilemmas.

Now the flanges at the BBC have managed to take off DS9, just in the middle of season 5!

Star Trek: Voyager
Channel: BBC 2
Time/Day: 18:00 Thursday
Based on Star Trek by Gene Roddenberry. Another starship in an "interesting" situation, this time the Delta Quadrant. This leads to a lot of more unusual episodes and the characters are more like a family than a crew.

The Simpsons
Channel: BBC 2
Time/Day: 18:00 Monday and 21:00 Thursday
A brilliant animated series. About the only genuinely funny American TV programme. It chronicles, rather obviously, the life of the worlds most difunctional family, the Simpsons.

NEWS

Any interesting news I find out about is put down here.

Total Annhilation from Cavedog is out on budget, which again is weird because it was brought out in '97. But, you won't hear me complaining!

Star Trek: Generations from MicroProse is out on budget, which again is weird because it isn't too old (1997 I think).

There are several new additions to the Virgin Interactive White Label Doubles range. These include, Full Throttle and The Dig from LucasArts and Star Trek: 25th Anniversary with Star Trek: Judgement Rites from Interplay. Prices vary from £9.99 to £14.99.

The 7th Legion is out on budget from MicroProse. This is interesting because it came out at the end of last year, so why is it on budget so soon? The only reason that I can think of is that it wasn't successful, but I thought it was good and it got good reviews.

Pizza Tycoon is out on budget! MicroProse's Pizza resturant based game is being released at the very reasonable price of £4.99 by Sold-Out Software. This interests me because I've wanted it for ages and been unable to find it. DUNE, Hand of Fate, Lure of tht Temptress and Beneath a Steel Sky are also available at the same price. To coin a phrase I once saw in one of my friend's Amiga mags, I believe it was The One, "Bargain-mungeous!"
