PRACTICE!

Whilst most of our Monday evenings in the summer are spent dancing and drinking in the open air, those in the winter are given over to "serious" indoor practice for these two fine old traditional pursuits.

So every Monday evening between the last Saturday in September and the last Monday in April, you'll find us in the Scout Hut in Riverside Road, St Albans. We start at 8 p.m. and adjourn to the pub at ten.

If you'd like to give it a try, give our Foreman a ring - or just turn up. Ideally, join us at the beginning of the practice season and you will be dancing like a veteran by the summer. But even if you miss the start of the season, don't put it off 'til next year! Come along anyway. All you need for practice is a pair of handkerchiefs and some comfortable clothes and shoes.

If you're a musician and would like to play for morris, you will be very welcome, though we do normally expect our musicians to be capable of dancing as well - primarily so that they know how best to play to help the dancers along.

N.B. Whilst we don't have women members, we have contacts with clubs who do and will gladly put you in touch with one of these if you are looking for a mixed or ladies side. Contact one of our officers.
