England.   What I do : I work at the local college as a lecturer, I am the programme leader for the National Diploma in Media and also manage the photographic department.   About my motorcycling : I am a recent convert to H-D, having had plastic rockets before and enjoyed every minute of the high performance these machines have to offer. I decided to take my motorcycling at a more leisurely pace, and start to see the world go by rather than picking the detail form the blur created by monumental speeds, emphasis on mental. The social aspect of the Harley world is so much more enjoyable. Whilst there is always friendship between bikers sharing the highway, runs could easily turn into high speed blasts, on the machines from the land of the rising sun. The pleasure of just being out there was secondary to maxing out at 180 mph. I bought my H-D in August of 97 from my local, but now unofficail dealer, The Harley Shop at Castleford. My nearest offical dealer is Eddie's of Leeds. They operate the Aire Valley Chapter, one of the newest chapters if you have been reading HOG News. I have yet to join the chapter but may do so in the near future. During the winter lay-up I have sourced my parts from The Harley Shop, like the offical dealer, they are a great crew, always helpful and keen to ensure you are a satisified customer.
