Emma Gibson &
Michael Wilcox
August 23rd 1997
Tetbury is a lovely place, even in
the rain. Which is just as well. Aware that most of my wedding reports read like a press
release from the Met office, we shall say no more.
Emma works for a remarkable company
called Funhouse in London. They work on designing products and promotions for children and
it was this sense of fun, the esteeming of kids and a brilliant 'family' atmosphere that I
remember about Emma and Michael's wedding day. Neither of them stopped smiling all day
long and nor did most of the guests who were determined to have a jolly (sic) good time
right from the start.
Remarkable floristry decorated the
church, the marquee where the reception was held and the wedding party. Emma's bouquet was
the most remarkable I have ever seen. There was a sense of style and design to the day
that was carried through from the dresses to the rather delicious cake (only had one
piece, honest!).
Some guests stayed in the marquee,
some sat outside, some stood by the house. Michael and Emma visited them all. |
