The Society for the History of Natural History

 

The Society for the History of Natural History is the only international society devoted to the history of botany, zoology and geology, in the broadest sense, including natural history collections, exploration, art and bibliography. Everyone with an interest in these subjects – professional or amateur – is welcome to join.

Current News: The Florence meeting saw a new Council elected; also Clemency Fisher was awarded the Thackray Medal and Janet Browne was given the Society's Founders' Medal.
Other news: the President's note is now available on line; Archives of natural history Vol. 30 issue 1 is now out; the on-line index to Archives has been updated; some new links have been added.
