NWS (Washington) FTP MAIL SERVICE for areas other than Metarea I

Forecasts and charts maybe accessed for the oceanic areas for which the USA has responsibility for the issue of warnings and forecasts.
The following Scripts are those to be used to request forecast text messages and charts for these other oceanic areas:

For the main forecasts available type the following script in the e-mail (see separate script below for forecasts specifically for the Caribbean and the Gulf of Mexico):

open
cd data
cd forecasts
cd marine
cd high_seas
get NNNNNN
quit

Replace NNNNNN  by the following depending on the forecast required:

north_atlantic.txt     NW North Atlantic High Seas forecast (Metarea IV)

north_pacific.txt       NE Pacific High Seas (Metarea XII)

east_pacific_3.txt      Peru High Seas (Metarea XVI)

south_hawaii.txt        South Central Pacific (25S-0N, 160E-120W)

east_pacific_1.txt      Part of NE Pacific (30-60N, east of 160E )

east_pacific_2.txt      Part of NE Pacific (0-30N, E of 140W)

north_hawaii.txt        Part of NE Pacific (0-30N, 160E-140W)

The forecast issued  by the NWS for the sub-area of Metarea IV from 7N-31N, W of 35W including the Caribbean Sea & the Gulf of Mexico can be obtained  using the following script in the e-mail:

quit
