SENTINEL STEAM WAGGONS

End2End 1999 (1)

The Sentinel pages are currently being prepared, in the meantime here are pictures from days 1 and 8 of the 1999 End 2 End run from John O' Groats in the North of Scotland to Lands End at the southernmost tip of England. For a day by day account of this run visit The Sentinel Drivers Club pages.
(Each small image is a link to a larger one, which should be presented in a new browser window)

Ten steam Sentinels took part in this run from John O' Groats in the North of Scotland to Lands End at the southernmost tip of England, more than 900 miles and 5 to 6 tons of coal per vehicle. It is quite possible that there will not be another such run, due to scarcity of spare parts and tyres and EC Regulations. For a day by day account of this run visit The Sentinel Drivers Club pages.
