The Strathspey region of Scotland offers a wide range of things to see and do for the whole familly.

Visit nearby Loch Ness and haunting Urquhart Castle. Perhaps you can add your own story to this age old mystery.

Or walk sombre Culloden battlefield where the hopes of Bonnie Prince Charlie and his gallant Jacobite highlanders finally came to an end.

July and August are the months of the 'Highland Games'. Bagpipes, tartan, highland dancing, and feats of strength by the local lads are all part of these popular rural occasions.

 The Victorian Strathspey Steam Railway runs from April to October. Its route takes it on a liesurely stroll through spectacular mountain and forest scenery.

Strathspey is at the very 'heart' of Scotlands malt whiskey tradition. You can visit many of the local distilleries which include famous names like Dalwhinnie, Macallan, Craganmore. Glen Morangie. 

Of course you'll find a wide range of the classic malts in the hotel's bar.

The nearby landmark heritage centre is set in 30 acres of ancient forest and offers a wode variety of fun activities for the whole family.

The Strathspey region is fortunate enough to offer many sites of archeological interest ranging from neolithic times untill as recently as world war II.

Intruiging traces of the 'vanished' Pictish people abound, and of course the many castles and fortresses found in the area recall Scotland's long struggle for independance.
