Ornithology in Strathspey

The Strathspey region of Scotland is fortunate enough to host more than 100 species of native or migatory birds.

Birds of prey include Sparrowhawks, Kestrels, Merlins, Peregrine and of course Golden Eagle.

Other well known wild fowl associated with the Highlands include Red Grouse, Ptarmigan, Capercaillie, Grey Partridge, Pheasant, Moorhens and Coot among many others.

We can arrange a first class package for the keen ornithologist - whatever the time of year.

We can also arrange for local experts to provide talks, slideshows or guided visits.

We are also fortunate enough to be only a few minutes drive from Loch Garten which is home to one of the breeding settlements of Osprey's within the British Isles.
