The Cairngorm mountains offer some of the most challenging summer and winter climbs in the whole of the British Isles.

 

Meall Fuar-mhonaidh at 695 metres is the highest mountain in the Loch Ness area, and on a fine day offers spectacular views down the Great Glen.

There are a number of excellent nearby cycle routes that afford a mixture of challenges and some breathtaking rewards.

The hotel adjoins the millennium cycle path and has secure lock up facilities for cyclists.

 

Nearby Loch Morlich is s et in the heart of the 32,000 acre Glenmore National forest Park and offers sailing, windsurfing and canoeing along with some excellent way marked forest nature trails.
